Matteo Ferrer will have to miss this weekend’s Protyre Formula Renault Autumn Series following a back injury.  

Matteo had a high-speed accident earlier in the year during qualifying for a Protyre Formula Renault round, and it is believed that this injury may have occurred during his accident.   While competing at the last race at Snetterton, in the BRDC Formula 4 Winter Championship, he ran wide and the bottom of the car impacted the kerb which triggered some back pain.

It is very disappointing for Matteo not to be able to compete in this weekend’s event with MGR Motorsport, but he is focused on returning for the final round of the BDRC Formula 4 Winter Championship at Brands Hatch on the 23 November 2013.
